Another water pearl of Kyrgyzstan can be called the Toktogul Reservoir. It is located on the Naryn River and is not only the largest in the country, but also throughout Central Asia. The area of the reservoir is 284 square kilometers, and the depth in some places exceeds the mark of 200 meters. Its waters are powered by two hydroelectric power stations: Toktogul and Kurpsai. The reservoir plays a huge role in the country's economy. A charming place, located among the mountains and green hills, was a favorite for vacationers. The water temperature in the pond reaches 25 degrees in the summer, and the air can warm up to 35, so swimming in such conditions is a pleasure. The reservoir is built at an altitude of 880 meters above sea level. Warm climate, convenient location and unique landscape turned this place into a real recreation area. Looking at the huge water area, it is hard to believe that this is the creation of human hands. The lake is loved by fishermen. Representatives of such species of fish as marinka, carp, pike perch, carp, sazan and the most delicate trout live here. Due to the wide area of the water, there is almost no competition among the fishermen. For the best catch, experienced fishermen are advised to catch on bloodworms, but corn is also suitable. By the way, fish farms that grow trout in Toktogul send it for export to Kazakhstan. You can break a tent and spend the night on the shore of the Toktogul reservoir. On its northern shore is a small town of Toktogul: it has several boarding houses, where lovers of comfortable rest can stay.
