Hotel “Umai”

The “Umai” Hotel was envisaged by two Kyrgyz sisters, Elmira and Samira, and built in 2007 / 2008. They felt that Bishkek needed a small and comfortable hotel that showed true Kyrgyz hospitality and that made the guests feel as at home as possible. This initial concept still holds true today and many of our guests arrive as clients and leave as friends. About 15 minutes’ walk, or 5 minutes by taxi, from the centre of the city the “Umai” sits in its own secluded gardens away from the noise and stress of the city. Many of our customers find that just sitting in our gardens in the early morning and evening is a natural therapy to modern life. We are all there to look after you and make your stay as comfortable as possible, so if there is anything that you require just tell the nearest member of staff and the message will get through to the right person – small can be beautiful. For us service is a matter of harmony.
