Taigan is the kyrgyz Sighthound spread in the Central Asia. It is used by nomads as an indispensable helper for thousands of years. Taigans are valued for endurance, for the ability to hunt in the mountains at a height of 2-3 thousand meters with a high speed in a short time from 49 to 61 km / h. Greyhound is used to hunt for fox, marmot, badger, wild cat and ungulates. A pair of large, strong, well-worked taigans can defeat the wolf. Often, taigans are used for joint hunting with golden eagle. At present, a unique, relict breed is on the verge of extinction.
